Photo Tips for Best Results

High-quality photos give the best results! Here's what helps me capture your pet perfectly:

Great Photos Have

  • Natural lighting (near a window or outdoors)
  • Sharp, clear focus on their face
  • Eye-level perspective
  • Their personality shining through!
  • Multiple angles to choose from

Try to Avoid

  • Blurry or pixelated images
  • Heavy shadows across their face
  • Filters that change their colors
  • Photos taken from far away
  • Flash photography with glowing eyes

Don't worry if your photos aren't perfect—send what you have! I'll let you know if I need anything else. 📸

Questions? I've Got Answers!

Can you paint pets who have passed away?

Absolutely, and I'm honored when asked. Memorial portraits are some of the most meaningful pieces I create. Any clear photos you have will work beautifully—I can even combine elements from multiple photos to capture them just right.

How many photos should I send?

The more the merrier! I typically work from 3-5 photos to get a complete sense of your pet's features, coloring, and personality. You can upload up to 10 photos in the form.

Can you include multiple pets in one painting?

Yes! I love painting pet siblings together. Extra pets can be added to any size larger than 5×7. Just note this in the form and I'll include it in your quote.

How long does it take?

Current turnaround is approximately 4-6 weeks from when I receive your deposit. Rush orders may be available—just ask! I'll give you an estimated completion date when you book.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! I ship worldwide from Vancouver, Canada. Shipping costs vary by destination and will be calculated and added to your final invoice.

What if I want changes?

I share progress photos along the way so we can make adjustments as needed. I want you to absolutely love your portrait, so I'm happy to make reasonable revisions until you're thrilled with it!
